General Building - Property DevelopmentOverviewIn 1987, i was fortunate enough to acquire my first property, a 3 bed semi. Luckily I was able to purchase this on an out-right basis as a consequence of my seizing the moment out of the storms that caused chaos across the south-east of the same year (and cash boost later, from my then father-in-law, which enabled extented redevelopment).Following redevelopment and resale, a number of further development propeties materialised, incl a 7 bed in Westcliff-on-Sea and a 27 Bedder in Sheffield City Central, that later unfortunately suffered a substantial fire, and then another, and was eventually sold and converted into a Doctors Surgery around 98'. Basically, a loss that needed recovering.Several of the larger more versatile properties were kept and managed for many years. Mostly rented or leased as appropriate. From multiple-occupancy through flats to workshops and parking spaces.I was relatively successful in surviving 'Black Wednesday', the financial collapse of the early 90's with resources remaining largely intact, I feel only because of fortunate timing more than anything else (the previous friday i had taken a sudden and dramatic decision to cash in one property and close up shop on all activities for a while for reasons unexpected), but sadly didn't survive losing contact with my daughter from my marriage which entered demise during 98'. I hadn't noticed my marriage crumbling or my daughter slipping away.As a compounding consequence........... See: Personality (which initially begun it's development circa 74' but was now begining to burn with a vengeance. I don't think it ever really went anywhere, the fact that as a child there had seemed such little prospect, a prolonged period of relative success blocked the visibility of my condition). |
